HIGH-END QUALITY
The blackberry brandy scored 18.2 and 18.83 from 20 points on two sensory ratings at the Biotechnical Faculty, which corresponds to the title HIGH-END QUALITY! Thereby, the blackberry brandy also attained the certification “Odlično je, vrhniško je!” (It’s excellent, it’s from Vrhnika!) by the Zavod Ivana Cankarja (Ivan Cankar Institution).
BRONZE AWARD
The gin was awarded bronze award at the competition at the Ginbrin Festival 2020 for its quality.
HIGH-END QUALITY...
Brodka scored 19 from 20 points on the sensory rating at the Biotechnical Faculty, which corresponds to the title HIGH-END QUALITY! Thereby, Brodka also attained the certification “Odlično je, vrhniško je!” (It’s excellent, it’s from Vrhnika!) by the Zavod Ivana Cankarja (Ivan Cankar Institution). We entered Brodka the competition by the Finance newspaper and won in the category The best product in the customers’ opinion.

Honey liqueur scored 18.5 from 20 points on the sensory rating at the Biotechnical Faculty, which corresponds to the title HIGH-END QUALITY! Thereby, Brodka also attained the certification “Odlično je, vrhniško je!” (It’s excellent, it’s from Vrhnika!) by the Zavod Ivana Cankarja (Ivan Cankar Institution).
GOLDEN AND SILVER MEDAL...
Spruce tip liqueur, won awards:
- golden medal at the first international spirits rating by Društvo ljubiteljev domače žganjekuhe (Society of non-industrial spirit distilling lovers)
- won the quality sign “Odlično je, vrhniško je” (awarded on the basis of rating at the Biotechnical faculty in Ljubljana)
- silver medal at the second international spirits rating ‘Stepini dani rakije” (Stepa’s spirit days) in Serbia

Williams Christ pear brandy scored 18.33 from 20 points on the sensory rating at the Biotechnical Faculty, which corresponds to the title HIGH-END QUALITY! Thereby, Brodka also attained the certification “Odlično je, vrhniško je!” (It’s excellent, it’s from Vrhnika!) by the Zavod Ivana Cankarja (Ivan Cankar Institution).
2x GOLDEN AWARD
15.4.2023 the first international spirits festival in Slovenia, organised by Društvo ljubiteljev domače žganjekuhe (Society of non-industrial spirit distilling lovers), took place. Žganjekuha Kržič is also a member of this society.
The Society strives to enhance the culture of drinking quality spirits and establish mutual help to spirit distillers.
International rating of spirits took place at the festival; 203 samples from 9 countries gathered there. We participated in the rating with two samples, namely with spruce tip liqueur and aged Brodka.
Both samples were awarded golden awards. The spruce tip liqueur scored 18.67 points in the category of liqueurs, and aged Brodka scored 18 points in the category of other distillations.
3 AWARDS
Already the second international festival ”Stepini dani rakije” (Stepa’s spirit days) took place in Nova Crnja in Serbia; Žganjekuha Kržič sent three samples of drinks to it – Spruce tip liqueur, Tarragon liqueur and aged Brodka. Under the judicial leadership of the renowned connoisseur of spirits Prof. dr. Ninoslav Nikićević, 217 samples from the entire region and wider were rated.
Golden award was awarded to the Tarragon liqueur – a liqueur with 34% alcohol, not excessively sweet and with the captivating taste of tarragon.
The grand silver award was awarded to the aged Brodka – a year of aging drew a great deal of interest among the judges and participants of the festival to Brodka. The silver award was awarded to the Spruce tip liqueur – a liqueur which brought the tender taste of the sub-alpine spruce tips to Vojvodina.
The awarded medals represent an approval for Žganjekuha Kržič, and proof of its good, quality, and innovative work to the customers and users. Žganjekuha Kržič proceeds the only way it can: with quality ingredients, quality and consistent distillation, and proven recipes knowing no shortcuts!
